What Does Being Magnetic Have Anything To Do With It

There once was a story about a man, who could only concentrate on the things he did not want.

He concentrated on debt, but more debt came to him.
He concentrated on not losing his job, but lost his job anyhow.
He concentrated on staying away from the bad crowd, but the bad kept coming to him.

What the man really wanted to happen was the complete opposite. All he wanted was to change, but he could not. He was like a big magnet attracting in all the wrong things.

It's the same with your home business. If you're constantly thinking of not succeeding, than your wish shall come true.

But, being magnetic in a positive way can have an altering affect on your success. And, when you are being magnetic in this way, you're attracting the things you want to happen.

You're concentrating on being a leader.
You're concentrating on becoming successful.
You're concentrating on accumulating wealth.
You're concentrating on growing your business.

You're concentrating on all of the right things to move you forward rather than holding you back.

Being magnetic has everything to do with your success.

Is the Social Marketing Arena for You

With all of the social marketing sites out there today, how do you know which one is the best one to use?

Do you just try them all or do you only do one?

Yes and No. But more No than anything. Let me explain.

In your business, you want to be able to create some interest in you and your business. So, in order to do that you have to start building a name for yourself. One of the best ways to do that is using the social marketing arena. But, I do not recommend that you go and create 10 different accounts on various social marketing sites. Can you imagine how much effort it would require to maintain 10 different social marketing profiles? Forget it, it's not worth your time. And time is the most precious element in your business. So, don't go wasting it.

No thank you!

Because you want to provide quality, this is why you should only concentrate on a few. Use social marketing sites like Twitter.com where you can follow others and be followed. For my Twitter account, JeromeRatliff, I follow a lot of people. People I find interesting, want to hear more about them and what they are doing. But, what's more important is that people follow me. Why? Because I want my content to come to me.

There are two areas to my postings. I bring a lot of focus on my normal life (things everybody does everyday) and the things I do to grow my business.

When I do this, people are drawn in like a magnet. Kind of the same for the people that I follow.

When you draw the people in, then you can begin building rapport. Then after you build rapport, you establish a way people can either buy into your service or you and your business. Now, don't be pushy because no one likes a pushy salesperson. Just be yourself and let the power of attraction marketing take over.

So, is the social marketing arena for you? It should be. Start today by visiting me on Twitter, my profile name is JeromeRatliff and I will see you on the inside.

Some Will, Some Won't, So What

Does anyone really know what that phrase means?

Well, I will tell you how I interpret it. It means some will like your business, some will not, but does it really matter. It absolutely doesn't matter?

Here's why...

In this industry, what is fundamental is that we are always sorting. As leaders, we are not interested in tire-kickers. We are looking for that right person to build our business with and someone who is interested in doing the same for their business. So what just means don't worry or concentrate on someone turning you down, just keep moving forward as you look and find that right person.

I once heard a story of a successful entrepreneur and it goes like this...

Joe, a new entrepreneur had been his business for 3 months and wasn't seeing any growth in his business. It was like he was standing still. So, he decided it was time for a change. He worked with lead after lead, getting rejected one after another. Joe was getting fed up with the rejection. Finally, he started getting enrollments into his business and before you knew it, he had signed up 45 people in 1 years period. But, when that year was up, his business began to decrease in commission. So, Joe decided he needed to recruit a little more. Another year went by and Joe had increased his organization to 90 people. Sure his commission increased, but not by double as it should have. Joe wasn't sure what was going on. That's when Joe remembered back to when he started hearing the phrase, some will, some won't, so, so what. It dawned on him why he was not sustaining growth. When Joe first started, he had gotten turned down so many times that he would enroll anyone just to get someone into his business. Sure, that increased his numbers, but these people felt pressured into the business the really did not want to be a part of. They started to drop like flies. Joe wasn't being a leader. The moment Joe realized this, Joe completely turned around his business. But, this time Joe was only enrolling a few people a month, tops. But this time his commission was nearly doubling. Joe started leading his team, providing them training, systems to follow, and one-on-one coaching. Joe's business was thriving and before he knew it, Joe was able to walk away from his business in 5 years just because Joe realized and started over.

It's never too late to start over. Just make sure to remember that phrase, "Some will, Some won't, So what" now that you really know what it means.

When Prospecting Really Matters

As an active business owner, one of the important pieces to a successful business is the ability to properly prospect people for your business.

The caveat to that is, you may know what you are doing when it comes to prospecting, but are you missing a critical part to the process?

Does prospecting really matter if you aren't thoroughly working through it?

This is what it comes down to, while prospecting you need to ensure you are 'closing'.

Here is how the process should go:

1. Prospect people or be approached, either through the use of attraction marketing or your ability to generate leads.

2. Approach them or be approached. Something drew them to you, either your good attitude, your ability to lead, good business sense, or your past successful experience.

3. Qualify them by determining what it is they want, and find their motivating factor (watch out for this, if you miss it, it could be a deal-breaker)

4. Close. This all comes down to, "Are you ready to move on?" (don't mess up by not asking, otherwise, the person will not take you seriously and you will never know if they are ready)

These steps need to be followed in the order specified above. Otherwise, the process will be rather useless. Can you imagine if you dropped right into the close?

"So, are you ready to join?" The reply, "Huh!"

They don't even know what you are talking about! That why the the order must be executed properly.

Oh, and if you really want to learn how to successfully work this process, here's the best advice I can give you... Just Do It!

The more you go through the process the better you will become.

So what if you are afraid.

So what if you are not experienced.

Your success will be determined by you doing. Unfortunately, there is no other way. If you intend on staying in this business, then face your weaknesses head-on.

Only then will you get better at them.

Thank You, Thank You Very Much

I think Elvis Presley said it the best, but nonetheless it's a powerful statement.

Has there ever been a time in your profession where you were struggling and you needed assistance? Either you couldn't figure something out or you didn't have enough time to get something done. Then out the blue you were blessed with someone wanting to help you.

This recently happened to me. I was continuously facing problem after problem. I had this look on my face like, "Help me! Help me!" No matter what I would do, I was getting buried deep into my work. My business was getting backed up.

And, to my surprise, I was approached by a willing friend. They were an answer to my prayers. I thought I was never going to make it.

Later on I asked that person, "Why did you help me? How did you know I needed help?"

They told me that they can tell how I was acting. I was short with people, I sounded irritated and confused. They knew I wasn't myself. Once they sensed that, they came to the rescue.

But, here's the great part. They said they helped me because I had done the same thing for them in the past. The funny part is when I initially helped that person, I didn't realize I was going to get something back in return. I was most definitely not counting on it. That's just the kind of person I am. I am always willing to help people.

Take my USANA team for example. They are currently struggling in their business and not sure what to do. Because I'm leader, I am always helping my team work through their issues, and help them prepare for their future. It's an ongoing responsibility that I feel is necessary for anyone on my team.

Am I getting anything back in return?

Yes and no.

I am not getting anything back right away, but, over time I will. Because I decided to take the time to mentor my team upfront, I am instilling good quality values in my team so they can do the same for their team.

The next time someone helps you, thank them by saying, "Thank you!" Then, the next team you see someone struggling, ask how you can help. It will be one of the most rewarding things you can do.
